Dynacare Donates $25,000 to Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada
Donation to support comprehensive caregiving program
 
Brampton, Ont.: Dynacare, an organization committed to being Canada’s health and wellness solutions leader, presented $25,000 to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada as part of the Dynacare Lead Charity program at its Brampton, Ont. office on Thursday, September 5^th.
 
Founded in 1982, the Brain Tumour Foundation is Canada’s only national brain tumour organization. They bring hope to thousands of Canadians each year by providing services and support groups to help improve quality of life, advocating on behalf of those affected, and funding research to ultimately find the cure for this deadly disease.
 
More and more family members are assuming the role of primary caregiver for those affected by a brain tumour, and this brings with it a number of unique and difficult challenges. The donation from Dynacare will support the development and implementation of a comprehensive caregiver program to connect these individuals with important resources, peer and professional support groups, self-care tips and an entire community of support.

Brain tumours affect an estimated 55,000 Canadians and are the leading cause of cancer-related death in Canadians under the age of 20. The Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada works to help individuals affected by a brain tumour by funding research, providing support groups and services for patients and their caregivers, and educating the public about this complex condition.
 
Each September, Dynacare employees choose a Canadian charity to support through its Lead Charity program, which aims to positively impact lives by promoting health and wellness and building stronger communities. Since its inception in 2012, the Dynacare Lead Charity program, one of the organization’s giving programs, has donated more than $210,000 to Canadian charities including the Breakfast Club of Canada, Pancreatic Cancer Canada, the Lung Association, Lymphoma Canada, the Canadian Mental Health Association and most recently, Autism Speaks Canada.
