Improved reporting for healthier outcomes

Dynacare enhanced our kidney function test with the Chronic Kidney Disease Epidemiology Collaboration (CKD-EPI) 2021 equation for a more accurate and precise assessment of kidney function and report for the Kidney Failure Risk Equation (KFRE).

The KFRE helps predict the chance of kidney disease worsening over the next five years. This identifies patients who would benefit from seeing a kidney specialist for improved patient management.

The CKD-EPI 2021 equation removed race-based adjustments and promoted a more equitable way to estimate the amount of blood that filters through the kidneys each minute.

Detecting Iron Deficiency Sooner Helps Prevent Anemia

The Dynacare genetics team partnered with Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences to deliver an ongoing pharmacogenetic testing program that supports more personalized and effective patient care.

Offered to select patient groups, the testing helps determine how individuals metabolize medications, allowing healthcare providers to tailor treatments for improved outcomes and potentially shorter hospital stays.

By contributing its expertise in pharmacogenetic testing, Dynacare played a key role in enhancing care for patients living with complex mental health conditions.
