Expanding Access to Genetic Counselling for Canadians

Recognizing the increased need to improve patient care and the demand for genetic services in both primary and specialty care, Dynacare stepped up to support access to genetic testing and genetic counselling for underserved communities at risk. With broad referral acceptance and reduced wait times, which are frequently encountered with limited-capacity hospital programs, the Dynacare genetics team can recommend appropriate testing solutions to determine inherited blood disorders, cancer risks, neurological conditions, and genetic conditions in ophthalmology, cardiology, and infertility.

Dynacare Genetics Team Partners in Advancing Personalized Patient Care

The Dynacare genetics team partnered with Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences to deliver an ongoing pharmacogenetic testing program that supports more personalized and effective patient care.

Offered to select patient groups, the testing helps determine how individuals metabolize medications, allowing healthcare providers to tailor treatments for improved outcomes and potentially shorter hospital stays.

By contributing its expertise in pharmacogenetic testing, Dynacare played a key role in enhancing care for patients living with complex mental health conditions.
