  • Dr. Jenisa Naidoo

    Dr. Jenisa Naidoo

    Chief Scientific Officer

    As Chief Scientific Officer and Vice-President of Clinical Development & Quality Assurance at Dynacare, Winnipeg-based Dr. Naidoo oversees all Dynacare laboratories across Canada. This includes supervising research projects, leading the development of new processes and technology, managing all scientific personnel and aligning scientific priorities with the Dynacare mission of supporting healthy lives with commitment and care. In addition to her work at Dynacare, Dr. Naidoo has also served as the Program Director for Laboratory Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Manitoba for over 15 years and currently an Associate Professor, teaching laboratory medicine in the undergraduate program. She also serves as a medical advisor and provincial representative in Manitoba, helping to shape healthcare policy and providing medical expertise for a number of provincial projects and initiatives. Dr. Naidoo holds a medical degree from the University of Natal Medical School and completed a postgraduate pathology specialist fellowship with the College of Medicine in South Africa.

  • Dr. Dana Bailey

    Dr. Dana Bailey

    Clinical Chemist & Medical Laboratory Director (London)

    A Clinical Biochemist at the Dynacare London laboratory and fellow of the Canadian Academy of Clinical Biochemistry, Dr. Dana Bailey joined the Dynacare team in 2013. Prior to this, Bailey earned her MSc in Microbiology and Immunology, and PhD in Biochemistry at McGill University, receiving a number of awards – including the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship – during her time there. She later completed her Postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Chemistry at the University of Toronto, where she was awarded the Alan Pollard Postdoctoral Clinical Chemistry Award. Dr. Bailey’s research interests include cardiovascular disease, the development of reference intervals and the application of quality metrics to the clinical laboratory.

  • Dr. Peter Catomeris

    Dr. Peter Catomeris

    Scientific Director, Chemistry

    A Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Clinical Biochemistry, Dr. Peter Catomeris joined Dynacare as Scientific Director of Chemistry in 2017. Dr. Catomeris has acted as team leader for several Institute for Quality Management in Healthcare (IQMH) laboratory assessments and as a team member of many laboratory inspections for the College of American Pathologists (CAP). He also served as the Head of Education & Scientific Affairs for the Canadian Society of Clinical Chemists for five years and helped create two laboratory testing guidelines as a panel member of Ontario Association of Medical Laboratories committees. Dr. Catomeris holds both a PhD and MSc in Clinical Chemistry from the University of Windsor.

  • Dr. Doug Tkachuk

    Dr. Doug Tkachuk

    National Director, Blood Related Diseases

    Having earned degrees in in Anatomical Pathology and Molecular Pathology as well as a MD, Dr. Doug Tkachuk’s career has spanned multiple areas of medicine. Before joining Dynacare, Dr. Tkachuk worked in several key medical roles, including Acting Lab Director at the Seattle Veterans Medical Center, Hemapathologist at the Toronto General Hospital, University Health Network and Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice-President at LifeLabs. He is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto, lecturing on hemopathology.

  • Christopher Trevors

    Christopher Trevors

    Director, Genetic Solutions

    A Certified Genetic Counselor with the American Board of Genetics Counselors, Christopher Trevors is the Director of Genetic Solutions at Dynacare. Prior to joining Dynacare, Trevors spent nine years at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto performing clinical care, clinical education and evaluation in the areas of genetics, ethics and molecular/genomic technologies, as well as two years as Director of Genetics and Genomics at LifeLabs and nearly three years as Canadian General Manager of genetic diagnostics organization Centogene AG. Trevors has also worked with several laboratory diagnostic companies in roles primarily focused on business development, clinical integration and education. Graduating with an Honours BSc in Biology from Queen’s University and a MSc in Human Genetics (Genetics Counseling) from Sarah Lawrence College, Trevors has lectured on clinical genetics, ethics and genetic counselling theory at the University of Toronto, George Brown College and Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences.
