We have all witnessed the unprecedented effects of COVID-19 both globally and locally. Through these challenging times, Dynacare is committed to supporting the health of the people and communities we serve to help make a difference.
I want to take this opportunity to assure you that our front-line healthcare professionals are committed to supporting both customers and healthcare systems across Canada – particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, more than ever, I am inspired and proud of the degree of professionalism, dedication and empathy that they are demonstrating throughout this situation.
Dynacare is pleased to share that as of March 25, 2020, we started COVID-19 testing in our Brampton, Ontario laboratory. While we are not able to accept COVID-19 requisitions nor perform this test at our Laboratory and Health Services Centres, we are pleased to support Public Health organizations across Canada in their mandate to expand COVID-19 testing capacity.
We are also pleased to inform you that our Laboratory and Health Services Centres remain open for the urgent testing needs that your physician has recommended. For the health and safety of our customers, staff, and the community, we have implemented reduced hours and have temporarily closed some of our locations. These service changes allow us to ensure service quality, maintain physical distancing guidelines, moderate the use of our valuable personal protective equipment (PPE) while providing a safe environment for both our customers and our employees.
