COVID-19 Border Testing for Travellers

As of October 1, 2022, all COVID-19 measures, including restrictions on entry into Canada, and testing and quarantine/isolation requirements for anyone entering Canada, will be lifted.

As a result, effective October 1, 2022, any existing obligations to which you were subject (e.g. testing and/or quarantine/isolation) will also end. Consequently, if you entered Canada on or after September 17, 2022, then starting on October 1, 2022:

  • You are no longer required to quarantine or isolate if you are currently completing your federal 14-day quarantine or federal 10 day isolation period.
  • If you are unvaccinated and were required to test upon entry and/or on day 8 after arriving in Canada, you are no longer required to complete either test.
  • If you are fully vaccinated and have been selected for a mandatory random test, you are no longer required to complete the test.

As well, starting October 1, 2022, Dynacare will stop all testing activities, including analysis of samples, and reporting results to the Public Health Agency of Canada.

If you were tested under the Canada border testing program before October 1, 2022 but did not get your result, you may Sign In to access your result.

Samples received in the lab for testing after September 30 were not processed. The result will indicate that resubmission and retesting is required, however, this is not the case and no further action is required.

Please continue to follow local public health guidance, if it applies, and any applicable provincial or territorial requirements.

Thank you for doing your part to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in Canada.
